Setup & Product Details

We use different setups depending on the amount of room given. We apply for large spaces when available and adapt to fill every inch. We use 6ft and 8ft gridwall for most displays.Our space and equipment choices revolve around safety, accessibility (mobility aid space is maintained,) ease of interactivity, and being fursuit friendly.

OUR DESIGNS ARE ORIGINALS

Imitators of our work exist. We are not associated in any way with these counterfeiters, and their views, products, and business practices are not shared by us. All of our products are original creations designed independently by October Copper and are exclusive to Lairbrew.

ABOUT LAIRBREW

Lairbrew is a furry focused art shop specializing in quality plush creations. It is run by a queer disabled couple, October and Tig. All of our designs are meant to ignite that dragon-like urge to snatch up a new shiny and bring it back to your lair to lay on, and they remain a treasure that keeps bringing smiles! We got in to plush making because we love plushies and have a whole bunch ourselves, but we've stuck with it through all the difficulty, sweat, and chaos because of the joy it brings to people. Things we've worked hard on are out there making hard days a little easier and bad times a little better for someone, and that means everything to us.Our business is very small, running from our home in IL. We carry mostly fandom-favorite fantasy creatures species-wise, but I do have some real animals as well as original concepts. We also offer plush bags that double as fursuit and cosplay props! Our most popular offerings are our giant werewolves, grub plush bag, and sitting kobolds. Sizes range from 4 to well over 40 inches, and we'd like to make larger. We're always working on releasing new plush designs!

We want to create things that make people have a better day just because they saw it and aim to be a memorable part of the con-going experience for every attendee that stops by. Some reasons folks like us:

-Our Booth Is Fully interactive! Attendees can pick things up, touch them, hug them, and take photos-Our patterns and designs are exclusive, meaning no overlap with other plush vendors-Small plush are priced at $25 or LESS and will be for as long as possible-Non-plush items have deals for multiples, including mix-n-match-Free large bags w/handles and protective resealable sleeves w/card backs are available to all customers and can be used at other tables-Coming soon: free plush cauldron bags that can fit our giant plush for all $200+ purchases-We are always releasing new items, so we remain fresh for frequent con-goers-Most plush are sets and many attendees make personal traditions completing them one plush/con at a time-Active biosecurity considerations include disinfecting frequently touched hard surfaces, offering sealed plush, and masking to prevent con crud-We provide at-con repairs for our plush free of charge, regardless of purchase date or damage reason. Rare same-weekend damage to bags are replaced with no questions asked.-We own a dedicated vehicle and trailer for conventions, assuring we're able to come stocked + prepared-We're a 2 person full time team, so there is always someone knowledgeable at the table from open to close.-We make an effort to be conscious of meeting accessibility needs, such as maintaining mobility assistance equipment space, preventing trip hazards, and offering non-verbal ordering.

BUT! The main reason folks like seeing us is because they LOVE our stuff! We get a lot of genuine, enthusiastic reactions unfiltered all weekend. It is not uncommon for us to see someone spot our display from a distance and make a mad dash to look up close. We are a booth that will excite many attendees and give them a positive experience!

ABOUT The Artist

Hello! I'm October Copper, they/them, and I'm the one who sent in the application that brought you here! I wear all the hats at Lairbrew, like designing the plush, maintaining the site, handling customer service, order fulfillment, and con planning. I'm a non-binary ace who LOVES chickens, and I'm the cockatrice in some of the booth photos! This is my wife and I's only income and I take a lot of pride in what we do.
